Womb Yoga for Post Natal Recovery
During pregnancy and childbirth, a lot happens in the woman's body.
Your uterus has grown 25x its actual size to make room for your baby. Pregnancy and childbirth have a lot of impact on your body, your uterus and other organs in the pelvis such as the bladder and urinary tract, the rectum, the intestines and also your pelvic floor muscles.
In addition, the postnatal period (including that following a miscarriage, stillbirth or abortion) brings about enormous changes in yourself on an emotional, mental and spiritual level.
The postnatal period can officially be seen as a period of five (!) years,
where your system is still recovering from this enormous transformation.
Womb Yoga for Postnatal Recovery is very broadly conceived and can be used from a few weeks to a few years after childbirth. For example, the practice looks completely different in the first few weeks than in the months (or years) afterwards.
